The Recipes
Just a peek at a few of the recipes you'll discover in your new cookbook!
Moroccan Coffee
While many associate mint tea with Morocco, this North African country also has a rich coffee culture. A traditional Moroccan coffee is reminiscent of the Kopi Jahe we made from Indonesia, but with the addition of nutmeg and black pepper. The blend is fragrant and uplifting.
Es Alpukat
This iced avocado coffee is sold by street vendors and restaurants across Indonesia. It can be served as a bowl of layered ingredients or blended. Often served with chocolate ice cream, milo powder (chocolate malt), or chocolate syrup.
S'mores Latte
The S’more makes its first official appearance in a Girl Scout guidebook in 1927 called “Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts.” Commercial products Mallomars (1913) and MoonPies (1917) predate the S’more and had similar ingredients, but it is the roasted marshmallow from a real campfire that makes the S’more such a memorable taste. The primary ingredients are beautifully blended in this latte and adorned with an optional and over-the-top garnish of two full size s'mores.

Theresa Duncan
Cookbook Author and Photographer
For coffee enthusiast Theresa Duncan, a trip to a new city is never complete without a long, relaxed visit to a local cafe. What began as making a few simple coffees to keep busy during the pandemic bloomed into a full-fledged global journey to discover coffee recipes from around the world. Through diligent research (and many kitchen mishaps), Theresa found great joy in planning, preparing, making, tasting, styling, and photographing each coffee.
When she isn’t experimenting with a new coffee recipe, Theresa works in Global Resources for Wildlife Conservation Society. Theresa is a pragmatic optimist and lifelong advocate for the environment and social justice. She volunteers in the community, serves on the board of the Empowered Earth Alliance and the Grinnell Art Museum, and is author of a book of poetry entitled "tell me more, but don't use any words."
Theresa lives in California with her De’Longhi espresso machine, Turkish coffee pot, and Chemex pour-over.
